It was another great evening for baseball around The Commonwealth last evening as Josh Beams and Hunter Johnson led #3 PRP to a victory over #9 Bullitt East, Dustin Vincent had a huge night for #22 Apollo, and Trey Merida led #16 West Jessamine to a win over Somerset.

#1 St. Xavier 10 Ballard 2
Hayden Ford and Sam Springer each had 2 hits, and Austin Clemons and Andrew Hubbs each drove in 2 runs to lead the Tigers. Jack Cleary allowed 1 earned run over 4 innings of work to pick up the win.
#3 PRP 8 #9 Bullitt East 4
Josh Beams went 2-4 with a double, triple, and 2 RBI, and Hunter Johnson launched a 2-run home runas PRP put up 6 runs in the 4th inning to defeat Bullitt East. Kyle Olliges allowed 2 earned runs and struck out 6 in the complete game effort.
#5 Lexington Catholic 4 LCA 2
Taylor Henley went 2-4 with a double and RBI, and Logan Banks added a 2-run double for the Knights. Corey Wells allowed 2 earned runs over 6 innings for the win, and Griffin Neuer pitched a scoreless 7th to earn the save.
#6 Woodford County 4 Henry Clay 0
Clinton Hollon racked up 12 K’s in firing a complete game 2-hit shutout.
#7 Male 6 Atherton 1
Justen Linares allowed 1 earned run and struck out 6 in going the distance for the complete game. Linares also added 2 hits, and Spencer Jackson added 2 hits and drove in a run in the Male win.
#11 Paul Laurence Dunbar 5 #8 Tates Creek 0
Tyler Brummer fired a complete game shutout to lead PLD to the win. Michael Marsh drove in 2 runs to lead the PLD offense.
Madison Central 5 #13 Lafayette 4
Jimmy Wright collected 2 triples, and Chris Wells tripled and scored 3 runs in the Madison Central win. Austin Templeton picked up the win with 3 scoreless innings in relief.
#16 West Jessamine 8 Somerset 6
Trey Merida went 2-4 with a triple, home run, and 4 RBI, and Ryan Lane ripped a 2-run double to lead West Jessamine to the win.

Tyler Robertson fired a complete game no-hitter with 14 K’s for Russell County. Tyler Robertson also went 2-2 with an RBI at the plate.

Jakob Shuler added a double and 2 RBI, and Jacob Glen went 2-2 with a home run and 2 RBI. Ryan Hunley was the winning pitcher, allowing 1 earned run in his 6 innings of work.

Drew Greenwood went 2-4 with a double and 2 RBI, and Braden Johnson worked all 7 innings to pick up the complete game win.
Scott County 4 Franklin County 3
Alden Gruchow had a 2-3 night, and Chase Martin added a run-scoring double in the Scott County win. Josh Stratton pitched 4 2/3 innings to record the win.
Jeffersontown 4 DuPont Manual 2
Chad Hagan allowed 1 earned run over 6 innings to pick up the win for Jeffersontown.

Taylor Combs went 3-3 with a double and 3 RBI, and Derek Terry, Kevin Goins, and Nick Vorbeck all added 2 hits each in the Corbin rout. Austin Combs went the distance, allowing just 1 hit to pick up the win.
