Despite the chilly temperatures, there was still quite a bit of action on the diamond last evening including Oldham County upsetting newly appointed No. 1 St. Xavier. Here is a look at scores and highlights from around the state.

Kole Gibson went 3-for-4 with a double and scored 3 runs, Alec Jameson added 2 hits and 2 RBI, and Kaleb Duckworth doubled home 2 runs as Henderson Co improved to 6-0 on the season. Hunter Kloke picked up the win allowing 1 ER with 6 K’s in 5 innings of work.

Spencer Jackson, Drew Carlton, Tyler Capito, and Lukas Hartlage each had 2 hits in leading Male to the victory. Matt Janocik went the distance with 5 K’s to pick up the win.

Eastern 2 #15 Bullitt East 0
Chase Mitchell fired a no-hitter as Eastern improved to 4-1 on the season.

Zech Maulden, Caleb Ahlers, and Hunter Childress all had 2 hits apiece, and Alex Briney went the distance with 8 K’s in the complete game shutout.

Nick Vorbeck homered, and Cody McHargue added a triple in the Corbin victory. Winning pitcher Kevin Goins scattered 5 hits in the complete game effort to record the win.

Blake Brangers went 2-for-3 with a double, HR, and 3 RBI, and Jake Yates chipped in 2 hits and drove in a run. Jimi Keating scattered 7 hits and struck out 10 in going the distance for the win.
Bowling Green 3 Greenwood 1
Devin Hayes collected 2 hits, and Justin Gentry added an RBI double to lead Bowling Green. Joseph McIntyre struck out 5 over 4.1 innings to pick up the win.
Sayre 5 Model 2
Christian Courtney and Wyatt Hood each collected 2 hits, and Mason Stockham added 3 RBI to lead Sayre to the win. Hood was the winning pitcher allowing 2 ER while striking out 6 over 4 innings of work.
Henry Clay 3 Ryle 0
Trevor Hammonds and Aaron McGeorge each collected 2 hits, and Lucas Simpson fired a complete game 2-hit shutout with 9 K’s.
Franklin Co 6 LCA 5
Quentin Brownlee went 2-for-3 with a triple, HR, and 2 RBI, and Rylan Rowe added 2 hits as Franklin Co lost a 5-2 lead in the 7th and then scored a run in the bottom of the 7th for the victory. Cody Kalinowski homered in the LCA loss.
Apollo 11 Hancock Co 7
Zach Hopewell went 2-for-4 with a double and 3 RBI, Jakob Shuler added 3 hits, and John Mark Thompson and Logan Burnett each added 2 hits in the Apollo victory. Ryan Hundley worked 4 innings on the mound to record the win.
DuPont Manual 9 Doss 3
Chris Gambert had a huge night going 4-for-5 with 4 doubles and 2 RBI to lead Manual to the victory. Jarrett Harness worked 4 innings of hitless baseball to pick up the win.
Collins 5 Carroll Co 1
Paul Miller went 2-for-4 with 2 RBI, Zac Wiley went 2-for-2 with a triple, and Hunter Perry went 2-for-4 with a double and RBI in the Collins victory. Will McDonald allowed 1 ER and struck out 5 in 5 innings to pick up the win.

Charlie Dishman and Jacob Pelston each collected 3 hits, and Zach Dishman allowed 1 ER over 3 innings to record the win.

Will Wise went 3-for-4, Zach Wood collected 2 hits, and Dustyn Stevens doubled home 2 runs in the win. Winning pitcher Nathan Brown fired 4 scoreless innings.
