It was a chilly night across the Bluegrass, and that coupled with the winter weather that hit areas of the state Sunday evening led to cancellation of many games on the schedule. Here is a look at the games played around Kentucky last evening.

Nolan May scattered 5 hits in going the distance for Trinity to pick up his first win of the season. May struck out 6 batters along the way.
#12 Bullitt East 9 #22 Nelson Co 6
Bullitt East took advantage of 11 walks and 5 errors, and scored 4 times in the final 2 innings to record the victory. Zac Ching reached base safely 4 times with a hit, RBI, and 3 walks. Tyler Krauth and Adrian Maddox combined to allow just 4 Nelson County hits, but several Bullitt East errors allowed the Cardinals to plate 6 unearned runs.

Zach Holmes collected 2 hits and also threw 4 innings of no-hit baseball with 7 K’s to pick up the win.
Daviess Co 13 Trinity (Whitesville) 3 (6 innings)
John Stratton went 3-for-3 with a double, triple, and 4 runs scored, Noah Pike went 2-for-2 with a double and 2 RBI, and Zach Burton added 2 hits in the victory. Winning pitcher JJ Poole allowed 2 hits and struck out 6 in his 4 innings of work.
St. Mary 4 Calloway Co 1
Brian Johnson went 2-for-3, and Jon Darnell added a HR in the win for St. Mary.
Greenwood 16 Butler Co 0 (5 innings)
Drew Hayles and Nick Sanders each collected 2 hits, and Sanders struck out 6 in 3 innings of work to pick up the win.
