Here is a look at some of the scores and highlights from the action around the state last evening.
Siegel 6, Blackman 1
Collin Stoecker had a huge night on the mound with 12 strikeouts and the win for Siegel. Offensively, Blake Benefield went 2 for 4 with two doubles and Carson Lester went 2 for 4 with a double.
Sevier County 8, South Doyle 7
Garrett Gay went 3 for 4 with a double and a home run and Kody Paul went 2 for 2 with a double to lead the Bears over the Cherokees. Zach Linginfelter pitched four innings and had eight strikeouts. Allen Silva picked up the win.
HVA 4, USJ 3 (11 Innings)
After 10 scoreless innings, USJ erupted for 3 runs in the top of the 11th, only to have HVA rally for 4 in the bottom half of the inning as Ian Pung's SAC fly won it for the Hawks in walk-off fashion. Zach Sears and Vinny Gambuzza each had three hits in the game for HVA. Matt Turner fired 7 shutout innings for the Hawks while Cameron Tinker threw 5 scoreless for USJ.
Brighton 5, White Station 1
Ladarius William went 2 for 3 with a double and Kolton Childress went 2 for 2. Chase Kidd picked up the win with 6 strikeouts.
Lenior City 9, Greenback 3
Logan Henry had a huge night for the Panthers going 2 for 4 with a homerun and a double . Henry also picked up the win on the mound. Zane Bowen also had a homerun for the Panthers.
Trousdale County 6, Red Boiling Springs 5
Carr went 3 for 3 and Ellis went 2 for 4 with a double to lead the Trousdale County offense. Kuster picked up the win on the mound.
Smith County 6, Cannon 0
Seth Hackett went 2 for 3 with a double and Bryant Goolsby went 1 for 4 with a double. Hackett not only had a big night at the plate but had 9 strikeouts and allowed no hits.
Nashville Christian 6, Fairview 5
Pope went 2 for 3 with a double and Elliot went 1 for 2 with a double. Nelson picked up the win on the mound.
Station Camp 10, Gallatin 6
Glover went 2 for 4 with a double and Windsor went 1 for 4 with a homerun to lead the Station Camp offense. Nelly picked up the win on the mound.
Gatlinburg Pittman 7, Fulton 3
Eric Hart led the offense going 2 for 3 with a double and Boone Jinks went 2 for 3. Zack Akey got the win on the mound.
Collierville 2, Tuscaloosa County (AL) 0
Alex Hicks had 7 strikeouts and picked up the win for the Dragons. Bo Sutton went 1 for 2 and Fulton Johnson went 1 for 3 to lead the Dragons offense.
Dickson 3, Summit 1
Tre Grimes and Blake Greer both went 2 for 3 with Grimes having a double and Greer a triple. Brett Lyell got the win.
Sycamore 10, Harpeth 4
Noah Sims went 3 for 4 and Matt Brown went 2 for 4 with a triple to lead the Sycamore offense. Blake Strassburg picked up the win.
Morristown West 13, Cocke Co 3
Will Heflin and Jacob Jennings had a huge night for the Trojans. Heflin went 3 for 4 with a double and a triple. Jennings went 2 for 4 with a double and picked up the win on the mound with 8 strikeouts.
Elizabethton 12, Happy Valley 3
Brown had 7 strikeouts and picked up the win on the mound for Elizabethton. Offensively, Press was 3 for 4 and Hodges was 2 for 4 with a double.
Bradley Central 5, East Hamilton 4
Austin Calfree went 2 for 4 and Jeremiah Sims went 1 for 4 with a double. Chandler Hamilton had a huge night on the mound with 11 strikeouts and Brandon Thompson came in late in the game to pick up the win for the Bears.
Grundy 4, Red Bank 3
Tait McBee had 9 strikeouts and picked up the win for Grundy. Chandler Knight went 2 for 4 and Dallas Bryan went 1 for 3 with a homerun to lead Grundy past Red Bank.
Portland 4, Watertown 3
Issac Norman went 1 for 1 with a triple and Dach Diseker went 1 for 2. Austin Graves picked up the win with six strikeouts.
Ripley 4 Germantown 3
In a very close game that came down to the end, Ripley found a way to get the win. Heston Sanders went 1 for 2 with a double and Trent Kessell went 2 for 5 to lead the Ripley offense. Beah Simpson picked up the win with nine strikeouts.
Hampton 2, South Greene 1
David Fleener had a big night for Hampton going 1 for 3 and picking up the win on the mound. Stone Hutchinson also went 1 for 3 at the plate.
Franklin 8, Independence 1
Kenny Blackburn went 3 for 5 and Jonathan Giles had a huge night going 3 for 3 with a double and a triple. Jack Beard picked up the win on the mound.
David Crockett 4, Science Hill 1
James Moore went 2 for 3 and Issac Barkley went 1 for 2 with a double to lead David Crockett in a big win. Austin Hartgrove got the win on the mound,
Franklin County 5, Lincoln County 1
Shane Smith went 1 for 2 with a double and Chris Tyler went 1 for 3 with a double to lead the Rebels offense. Trevor Barnes had 6 strikeouts and the win.
Anderson County 3, Cookeville 1
Caleb Powers went 1 for 3 with two RBI’s and Kolton Hicks went 1 for 2 for the Mavericks. Carson Pack had seven strikeouts and picked up the win.
Heritage 6, Riverdale(FL) 5
Devon Gardner had a huge day going 3 for 5 with a double and a triple and Riley Hill went 3 for 3 to lead the Mountaineers in a big win. Hunter Terry picked up the win on the mound.
Knox Central 7, Oak Ridge 1
Bass Cooper had a big night for the Bobcats going 2 for 3 at the plate and having 5 strikeouts on the mound to pick up the win. Jeremiah Howard went 2 for 4 with a triple and Alex Haynes went 3 for 3 with a double.
Jackson Christian 1, Riverside 0
Jackson Christians early run in the 1st inning was enough to hold off Riverside. Hunter Higdon went 2 for 4 with a double and had seven strikeouts on the mound. Shea Nickias was the winning pitcher.
Cherokee 3, Morristown East 2
Daniel Owen had a big night going 1 for 2 with a double and 10 strikeouts on the mound. Jacob Howard went 1 for 3 with a double.
HVA 12, Meadowcreek( GA) 1
Ian Pung went 2 for 3 with two doubles and Mason McCroskey went 2 for 3 with a double to lead the Hawks offense. Trevor Lloyd picked up the win with 5 strikeouts.
Keswick Christian 6, West 5
Adam Cupp had nine strikeouts but it wasn’t enough for the Rebels. Ben Kirby went 3 for 3 and Hayden Boyd went 1 for 4 with a triple.
Powell 10, Campbell Co 0
Peyton Alford had a huge night for the Panthers with 12 strikeouts and picking up the win. Joe Stucky went 2 for 2 with two doubles and Noah Malicoat went 3 for 3 with two doubles as well.
