Baseball season is finally here. As of Wednesday, February 26th, the AIA high school baseball season is officially off and running. Throughout the spring, PBR will be posting Daily Roundup with some scores and select performances from past games.

No. 14 Salpointe Catholic jumps on Ironwood Ridge early. 2021 RHP Dawson McHughes started on the mound and threw 6 innings of shutout baseball for the lancers. McHughes struckout 7 batters while allowing 4 hits and 3 walks. 2020 CF Levi Padilla, Regis commit was 2 for 3 in the game with 2 doubles, 2 runs, & 2 RBIs. 2021 3B Cade McGee was 1 for 2 with a triple and 2 walks, scoring 2 and an RBI.
No. 24 Pinnacle edges Shadow Ridge with 3-run 6th inning. 2021 Michael Riley hit a pinch hit 2-run HR in the top of the 6th to give Pinnacle 4 runs. 2022 RHP Dillon Orr started on the mound for Shadow Ridge. Orr went 4 innings, striking out 7 batters while surrendering 1 run on a hit with 5 walks.
No. 25 Westwood bounces back against Tolleson Union. 2020 LHP Francisco Cardenas got the start on the hill for Westwood. He recorded the complete game shutout for the Warriors, striking out 10 batters while allowing 4 hits & 3 walks. Cardenas also went 2 for 4 at the plate with a HR and 2 RBIs.
