As we prepare for the inaugural Commonwealth Classic tournament, our staff would like to highlight what to expect from the #11 Benedictine Cadets in this tournament, as well as some of their potential top performers.

Tournament Schedule: April 1st at 10:00 am vs #14 Cox (Site: Shepherd Stadium)
April 1st at 4:00 pm vs TBD (Site: TBD), April 3rd (Opponent, Site, & Time TBD) 

The VISAA Division I power has has seen some ups and downs in the first two-plus weeks of the season. The Cadets had a tough opening weekend slate, hosting the #1 ranked team in Maryland, Archbishop Spalding. While there were some bright spots that day, the Cadets struggled to produce offense. Since that weekend opener, Benedictine has won three of their last four, with the lone loss coming to cross town foe, #21 Collegiate. Benedictine has the arm depth on the mound, but has not gotten consistent starts that have gotten them deep in games. Sophomore Jake Wise has had a solid start to the season on the bump and has provided a consistent presence. The Cadets have the talent to do a lot of damage at the plate and shut down opponents on the mound.
