PBR: Why did you choose the school you did?

Eldredge: I chose St. Thomas because of the great connection I had with the coaches and players. I love the size and feel of the campus and how successful the baseball program has been. UST also has the most flexibility and options for different majors which was important to me because the academics side of things had a huge influence on my decision.

PBR: What other schools were you considering?

Eldredge: Luther College, St. Scholastica, Sioux Falls

PBR: Where did the coaching staff first see you? How did your relationship develop with him?

Eldredge: The coaching staff first saw me at a varsity game. I went to campus and met with Coach Olean and I continued to stay in touch with the coaches throughout the summer and fall.

PBR: Do you feel relieved now that the process is over and you can just focus on baseball and not deal with everything that goes into picking a school?

Eldredge: Very. It was a tough decision, but it feels great to already know where I will be next fall.

PBR: Was there one deciding factor that put your choice over the top?

Eldredge: Academics. I could see myself playing baseball at any of the schools I was looking at but, in the end, it came down to which school could make me the most successful career-wise.

PBR: Who has helped you the most to get to where you are today?

Eldredge: My parents and coaches. My dad coached me from Teeball all the way up until I started playing high school ball. As for coaches I have learned so much from the Elk River coaches, Icemen coaches, and Joe Boyce who I have known since I was a kid.

PBR: What were your expectations about the recruiting process? Was it easy/difficult?

Eldredge: I really did not know what to expect, but once I started getting texts from coaches and deciding what I liked about certain schools it was pretty simple.

PBR: What plans does the coaching staff have in store for you in your freshman season?

Eldredge: I will be competing for a spot in the outfield and they plan to make good use of my speed.

PBR: What is your most memorable baseball moment to date?

Eldredge: Either playing in Cooperstown or walking off St. Cloud Tech last season.

PBR: Who is the best player that you have competed against?

Eldredge: Nick Lommen
