The PBR Colorado Winter Prospect I.D. took place on Sunday, December 15th at The Edge Sports Center in Fort Collins, CO. Over 50 prospects from the 2020-2024 classes we in attendance.
We began our positional analysis yesterday by taking a look at all catchers in attendance. Here's a glance at the upperclass outfielders, listed alphabetically.

Skyler Ahern OF / OF / Ponderosa, CO / 2021
Positional Profile: OF Body: 6’0” 165 Run: 7.62 Hit: RHH Spread out balanced stance. 50/50 Weight distribution. Sway Load to rear side. Gets to front side for launch. Hands extend on load to slight arm bar. Bat head in zone early with extension. Middle of the field approach with some pull tendency. Finish and Follow through has extension with one hand release. Exit Velo: 78 Power: Will benefit with use of Rear side acceleration. Arm: OF Velo: 78 Short Arc on backside Defense: Good Hand /Eye with quick catch to release. Approach clean. After fielding, momentum and throwing drift to glove side

Joel Anderson OF / 3B / Rocky Mountain , CO / 2021
Positional Profile: OF/3B Body: 5'9" 195 Run: 7.51 Hit: RHH 50/50 Spread out Stance. Sway and rock to load to back side. High leg kick to stride with front side driving the momentum. Load of hand start level to barrel high with slight arm bar Path levels early and has extension through the zone. Long to Long with contact outside to in. Pull side tendencies with one hand follow through. Exit Velo 87. Aggressive and confident Power: Good Strength and exit velo indicate potential for power. Would benefit with continued development of balance and rear side acceleration Arm: OF Velo: 83 Easy backside arc and follow through. Arm strength will continue to develop Defense: Athletic approach to ball with great hand/eye and feel for groundballs Great Catch to Release with good OF footwork

Gabe Atkins OF / RHP / Rock Canyon, CO / 2020
Positional Profile: OF/RHP Body: 5'10" 160 Run: 7.01 Hit: RHH Open Stance with small leg lift to load. Gets to stacked position with momentum created from the front side. Tendency of stride foot is to stay open to 3rd base side. Arm angles are maintained in load with slight trigger and bat wave with hands. Barrel gets to zone early with extended length through zone. The path is repeatable and has an upward lift and finish. Pull side dominant. Aggressive with attack on each swing. Created 90 Exit Velo. Good follow as I see continued development as 2020 Power: Definitely shows power potential. Will benefit with is strength to add quickness to his swing path. Still room to grow Arm: OF Velo 83 Limited arc on backside of throw with good extension on front side Demonstrated ease and arm strength in previous videos. 2 Way potential. Previous Videos also as Catcher! Defense: OF Defensive actions were limited, timing and effort directed to throwing

Seth Beals OF / RHP / Rocky Mountain, CO / 2021
Positional Profile: 3B/RHP Body: 5’10” 185 Run: 7.24 Hit: RHH 50/50 Weight distribution in stance. Sway to rear side and minimal leg lift and slide to stride, slight coil. Stride remains open. Momentum driven front side. Hands/Arm angles maintained and minimal upper body coil. Aggressive rotation and linear movement to ball Exit Velo: 90 Path has upward lift and one handed finish. Demonstrated good barrel contact in event BP! Power: Can benefit with refined swing development. Lots of Potential to develop Arm: OF Velo: 84 Really good feel for quick Catch/Release Defense: OF; Good footwork and momentum through ball. Good Actions to ball INF: Really good overall skill set as OF/INF Versatile! Threw well from different arm angles and redirected footwork with momentum.

Joshua Doerr LHP / 1B / Faith Christian, CO / 2021
Positional Profile: LHP/1B Body: 5'6" 150 Run: 8.06 Hit: LHH Narrow Stance with tall to fall stride. Gets to front side early with momentum and balance. Creates a firm front side and hips create rotational and linear movement. Hands and Arm Angles have limited movement and load. Very consistent with a direct path to ball and easy long follow through. Middle of the field approach. Exit VELO: 75 Power: Gap to Gap with Potential for Doubles Arm: OF Arm: 77 Short back side, long finish and follow through. Follow as LHP, also! Defense: OF Athletic approach to ball with great hand/eye and feel for groundballs Great Catch to Release with very good OF footwork

Logan Glover OF / 2B / Resurrection Christian, CO / 2021
Positional Profile: OF/2B Body: 5'8" 135 Run: 7.33 Quick Twitch Athlete...added strength will make Logan a possible 6.8-.6.9 Hit: RHH Simple and repeatable base and lower half. Stride is slight leg lift with coil and consistent. Accelerates rear side through zone with rotation and linear movements. Stays on balance. Extended load with hands and has tendency to pull side. Hands demonstrate quickness with line drive path with extended follow through. Not much lift. Really like the skill set, added strength will really aid Logan. Exit VELO: 74 Power: With speed, I see Logan with Singles and Doubles type of hitter Arm: OF VELO: 74 Short back side on his throws with slight push. Defense: Hand eye and plus movements to ball. See him as CF for future

Elias Gonzalez 3B / SS / Eaglecrest, CO / 2020
Positional Profile: 3B/SS Body: 5'9" 160 Run: 7.74. Hit: RHH Ready position stance is upright and slightly open., with a slide for stride foot. Shifts weight slightly to back side on load. Consistent lower half. Hands have minimal movement on load and start in good launch position. Path is a bit out and around and has pull side tendencies. Weight shift from front to back is rotational. Demonstrated consistent barrel contact. Balance on follow through with short to ball and short finish Exit Velo: 80 with hands Power: Pull side tendency with potential for singles and doubles Arm: OF: 75 INF: 77 Arm showed strength with a long back side and extended finish Defense: Good Actions in OF with aggressive approach through ball. Good Footwork. INF: Footwork was good to and through the ball. Positioned himself on variety of routine balls. Would benefit with movement through ball and momentum to throw

Positional Profile: SS/2B Body: 5'9" 160 Run: 7.24 Hit: RHH Very Simple and modified lower half load. 50/50 to slight shift, finds good rhythm and balance. Limited load with hands and has extension to slight arm bar. Bat head behind head slightly. Demonstrates strength and quickness in swing. Path has tendency to pull side Gap and around ball. Finish has retraction at contact and path have extension and lift. Good Results in BP round. Exit Velo: 74 Power: Potential for pull side pop with continued development of strength. Arm: OF VELO 83 INF VELO 80 Great backside arc with throw and extended follow throw Great throwing foundation each throw Defense: Good approach through ball in OF...with ease of fielding ground ball. INF: Demonstrated advanced defensive actions. Footwork and quickness played through ball and with very good feel for ground balls. After catch, did a great job with momentum to throws and change of direction on double play. Really good potential defensively

Nolan Johnson OF / 2B / University, CO / 2021
Positional Profile: OF/MIF Body: 5'10" 160 Run: 6.69 Hit: RHH Upright stance with simple and easy stride to load. 50/50 weight distribution at launch. Balanced and consistent with lower half. Hands start high and arm angles are maintained. Path is downward and creates good "to it, through it" in zone. Very good extension on follow through. Finish is high and always balanced. Middle of field approach and had solid barrel contact in showcase BP. Just scratching the surface of skill development...speed makes Nolan a must follow. Exit Velo: 82 Power: Line Drive potential with every ball potential with speed. Doubles!! Arm: OF Velo 71 Quick catch to release motion Defense: Foot work in OF solid. Good transition to throwing and very good Hand/Eye CF Type!

Jack Maunsell OF / RHP / Fossil Ridge, CO / 2021
Positional Profile: OF/RHP Body: 5'9" 175 Run: 7.60 Hit: RHH Upright Stance high leg kick to stride. Consistent launch point with balance and timing Momentum driven by front side. Lower half has rotation and linear movement through ball. Arm angles are maintained during load with bat head in strong position. Creates a direct path to the ball, downward with good plane through zone and great extended follow through. Repeatable with good bat speed. Demonstrated a Middle of the field approach with slight pull tendency. Potential !! Exit Velo 86 Power: Has power potential. Could anticipate a natural progression to power. Arm: OF Velo: 82 Good back side arc to easy extension on throws Defense: Would benefit from lots of ground ball reps...great feel after catch with footwork. Always in good foundation to throw. Quick catch to release!

Positional Profile: OF/1B Body: 6'2" 180 Run: 7.01 Hit: RHH Spread out balanced Stance. Minimal leg lift to stride. 50/50 Weight distribution on launch. Hands have light load with front arm extension. Path has extension and length with strength. Has rear side acceleration with rotation and some linear movement Barrel in zone early with lift. High finish with hands. Exit Velo: 88 Power: Strength indicates potential, but would benefit with quickness in swing Arm: OF Velo: 77 Long arc to Long Finish...demonstrated accuracy Defense: Showed good OF movements. Good Hand Eye and catch/Release Can gain Velo with use of lower half

Positional Profile: OF/RHP Body: 5’8” 140 Run: 6.84 Quick Twitch Hit: RHH Simple and solid foundation in stance. Small leg lift load to stride. Maintains arm angles in load with minimal and deliberate movements. Path to the ball is QUICK. Very good Bat Speed. Will handle velocity and has opportunity to handle off speed with his balance. Demonstrated Gap to Gap approach and repeatable path. Lots of Potential Exit VELO: 84 Interesting Follow Power: Can turn singles into Doubles and Triples. Lead off type, Arm: OF VELO: 78 Arm action is quick with clean follow through. Easy to see the potential for development and refining his throwing habits. Defense: Cuts the distance and has aggressive approach through ground balls. Good Hand/Eye and has room for growth with his OF Skill set

Colton Wall C / OF / Columbine , CO / 2021
Positional Profile: C/OF Body: 5’9” 165 Run: 7.93 Hit: RHH Open widened stance to start with a sway to rear side as load. Stride off closes to consistent and balanced position. 50/50 weight distribution at launch. Momentum generated with front side. Hands are simple with slight extension and bat head behind head. Path is consistent with Middle of the field approach. Demonstrated good barrel good in showcase BP. Hands have full extension on finish. Good Rhythm Exit Velo: 86 Power: Displayed Line Drive tendencies! Arm: OF Velo: 74 Catcher 70 2.18 Pop. Tight arc on back side with good extended follow through. Long Toss and the development of arm strength will benefit Colton. Defense: Can benefit by playing aggressively through ball. Actions and footwork are good. Catcher: Very Good catch to release with very accurate throws. Good Potential in all tools. Can develop!!

Weston Wall C / OF / Columbine, CO / 2021
Positional Profile: C/OF Body: 5’9” 160 Run: 8.0 Hit: RHH Starts with balanced base with slide for stride foot. Tendency to be on front side at the launch. Barrel maintained in upright position during load, arm angles extended to slight arm bar. Demonstrated repeatable path to ball with quickness with tendency to pull side. Had some length within swing with an extended finish. Can see athleticism and potential in Weston Exit Velo: 80 Power: Would view Weston as a Line Drive/Doubles hitter. Arm: OF Velo: 75 Catcher Arm 70 2.18 Pop Good Backside arc with extension on front side of throw. Good footwork and foundation in throw as OF and Catcher Defense: Good approach through ground balls in OF. Will benefit by receiving ball out front vs on the side. Plus Hand/Eye Catcher: Really liked movements and actions behind plate, can see potential with continued development and strength.

Positional Profile: OF/RHP Body: 6’4” 185 Run: 7.18 Hit: RHH Tall/Lean Upright stance with sway to load and quick toe tap. Slight coil. 50/50 Weight distribution when front foot lands. Quiet load with minimal movement. Angles maintained, bat head behind head. Path has some length, gets below pitch and creates some lift. Long levers to create quick swing. Middle of field approach with slight pull tendencies. Can run into a Ball!! Finish is balanced with great follow through. Exit Velo: 82 Power: Yes, Power Potential especially with lift and length. Quickness with benefit swing Arm: Of Velo:79 Long arc with long finish. Can’t help but to think of potential as RHP as well. Defense: Really good athletic movements to and through fielding position. Set feet under throw.
