Scouting Report
2-25-18
6-foot-2, 170-pound LHP/OF. Lanky, left handed pitching prospect. Tall and fall delivery, high front side, in line landing, some athleticism in finish. Quick tempo, long, loose arm action, high ¾ slot, regular effort throughout. Fastball, arm side run, 82-84 mph. Curveball, 1/7 shape and sweeps when arm speed is maintained, 72-73 mph. Changeup had good fade, in the zone, ranged 74-76 mph.
8-5-17
A 6-foot-1, 160-pound left hand pitcher. On the mound he uses a high balance position and a sink and drive motion to deliver an 83 MPH fastball. There are a few pauses in his motion that allow for his body to come forward and land in-line with the plate. He has a quick arm and shows good extension out front on his delivery. Fastball location was down in the zone and lived on the outer half. He also added a 64 MPH curve that dove hard in on the right hand hitter’s hands. It was a very effective two pitch mix in the TPG.
1-29-17
6-foot-1, 160 pounds. Bats and throws left. Effortless windup that lands inline to plate. Arm is very quick as well. Solid frame and projectability to be a very good pitcher. Fast ball had some run, and was 80-81 mph. Hides ball well. Tough to pick up. Off speed pitcher have same arm speed with good variation of speeds. Change was 71-72 mph with some sink, and curve was 60-61 mph with 1/7 shape. Player to follow in our state.
8-6-16
6-foot, 155 pounds. Nice projectable frame. Arm works well with body. Is loose. Comes from a short back side where he hides the ball and then arm is fast. Gets good leg drive and throws off two feet. Falls towards 3B side. Fastball was 77-79 mph touching 80. Polished looking lefty for his age. Curveball was 68 mph with good late break. Nice 2019 in our state to follow.
