Scouting Report
3-1-17
6-foot-4, 205 pounds. Has modified stretch windup. High hips, still growing. Looks like he's going to hit a growth spurt. Arm slot is short on back side then comes from deceptive 3/4 angle. Quick arm. Lower half works well, lands slightly closed.. Fastball sits 86-87 mph touching 88. Off speed pitches are same arm speed as fastball. Curveball has late break with 11/5 shape. Change has good sink, and comes at a tough 78-80 mph velocity. A lot more coming with him when he grows. Solid prospect.
5-4-16
6-foot-2, 185 pounds. Was outstanding working at 87-88, touching 89, threw really well except for the home run to Quinn through the 5th inning. Egloff's velocity dropped and he was working more at 83-84 in the 5th and 6th inning, curveball was also very good at 73-76. His delivery is very clean and he hides the ball well. Pitched very well for a sophomore in a big game
Egloff is coming on the scene in a fast way. Primarily a catcher, and only has throw 3 bullpens in his life, he recently went down to Arizona touching 88 mph. Big projectable frame has thrusted into Heritage's starting rotation and is currently their No. 1 pitcher.
