Scouting Report
Uncommitted 2021 RHP Alec Willis of Regis Jesuit came into to close the game and pitched a dominant game against the Cherry Creek Bruins to secure the 2019 5A state championship. The 6-foot-4, 190 pound RHP FB was 89-91 touching 92 from high 3/4. Fastball has good movement. ASR, and has ability to sink it. CB was 72-73, and change was 78-79. Willis is jumping up the boards. The projectable RHP should be in demand due to having a young arm coming into college because of the deep pitching staff at Regis Jesuit. Power 5 prospect.
2021 RHP Alec Willis of Regis Jesuit came into pitch one inning. The 6-foot-3, 190 pound already with the big frame, has more room to grow. Willis comes from a high 3/4 slot with good arm side run. Fastball touches 87, lives 84-85. Square to the plate and inline. Can come across body which creates the asr. Above average curve is 68 to 70 thrown at same arm speed as fastball. Change is 70-72 with gradual fade. Ball has late sinking action proving it hard to be barreled.
