PREP BASEBALL REPORT SUMMER 2018 WATCH LIST
- Class of 2019 -
PBR SC has compiled a list of players that are worth keeping an eye on during the 2018 Summer. These players are looking to follow up solid prep seasons with continued summer success. If you’re interested in seeing some of the best uncommitted talent SC has coming back next season, start with these guys.

CARTER WILLIS– Wren
Posted a .351 batting average and struck out 24 hitters in 15 innings pitched. Selected region 1-4A Player of the Year and Independent Mail All Area Team
STORM HARRELSON – Green Sea Floyds
Hit at a .346 clip driving in 13 runs and scoring 16. Was selected by Myrtle Beach online to the Toast of the Coast team.
DREU BODIFORD – South Pointe
Batted .429 and drove in 18 runs to go along with 12 stolen bases. The Stallions back stop also had a .987 fielding percentage in route to Region 3-4A All Region honors and a Rock Hill Herald all area selection.
RYAN BROWN – Northwestern
Threw out an impressive 14 baserunners and hit .383 with 24 rbi for the Trojans. Was selected All Region 4-5A and Rock Hill Herald All Area.
JASON ENGLISH – Richland Northeast
Hit .358 with 7 doubles and 3 triples for the Cavaliers. Was selected All Region 3-4A.
JAKE LAFFIN – Lugoff-Elgin
Hit .403 with 6 doubles and 16 RBI. Selected to the 4A All State team, Midlands All Area Baseball team.
DYLAN BREWER – Latta
Put together an impressive season posting a .411 batting average with 12 doubles, 6 triples and 4 home runs. Also finished with a 3-1 record, 1.95 era, and 33 Ks on the mound. Selected to the All State team and named Morning News baseball player of the Year.
ANTHONY HOPKINS – Darlington
Lead Darlington with a .63 era and 73 K’s in 47 and 2/3 IP. In route to All Pee Dee Baseball team.
CONNOR KIRKLEY – McBee
Batted .402 with 5 doubles, 3 triples, 1 home run, 17 rbi, and 21 stolen bases during the 2018 campaign. Was at his best when his team needed him the most going 4-0 with 1 save during postseason play.
ASHTON MIXON – East Clarendon
Hit .441 with 6 doubles, 4 triples, 1 home run, and 14 rbi. Named to the All Pee Dee baseball team.
