Mahomet-Seymour Sectional
Wednesday 4:00 No. 12 Normal West (30-7) vs. Danville (20-14)
Thursday 4:00 No.22 Morton (30-7) vs. Springfield SHG (25-11)
Normal West Regional Final
No. 12 Normal West (30-7) smashed Mahomet-Seymour 7-1 behind a three-hitter from Wildcat junior RHP Alex Jefferson (9-0). Wildcat junior Turner Reid went deep and plated three runs for West.
Champaign Central Regional Final
Danville (20-14) outslugged Big 12 rival Champaign Centennial 9-8 behind Viking Senior Tanner McQuowin who went deep with the bases loaded and again with two on and drove home seven for Danville.
Washington Regional Final
No.22 Morton (30-7) defeated Limestone 5-1 behind Potter senior Jarred Hollomam (10-1).
Decatur Eisenhower Regional Final
Springfield Sacred Heart-Griffin (25-11) blanked Springfield 8-0 behind Cyclone junior David Jacob (8-0). Jacob fired a three-hitter at the Senators with seven strikeouts. Jacobs singled home the only run he would need in the first inning. Senior 2B Neal Aherin had a perfect 4-for-4 day at the plate for SHG. Ridge Ackerman had a big two-run double for the Cyclones.
Mattoon Sectional
Wednesday 4:30 No. 15 Troy-Triad (29-8) vs. Chatham Glenwood (28-7)
Wednesday 7:00 Mattoon (23-13) vs. Waterloo (22-17)
Highland Regional Final
No.15 Troy-Triad (29-8) rallied past Highland 7-6 on a two-run walk-off single from Knight Blake Thomas in the bottom of the seventh. Knight Andrew Range had a huge three-run double in the sixth as Triad wiped out a 6-1 Highland lead.
Chatham Glenwood Regional Final
Chatham Glenwood (28-8) defeated Springfield Southeast 3-1 behind West Virginia Wesleyan-bound senior Nick Bifiano. Bifiano fired five scoreless innings in relief of Kansas State-bound Alex Bee to lead the Titans to the regional title.
Bifiano gave up just two hits and helped himself with a sac-fly. Bee and senior Kollin Taylor had clutch two-out RBI doubles in the third inning.
Waterloo Regional Final
Waterloo (22-15) bombed Marion 11-0 in five innings.
Effingham Regional Final
Mattoon (23-13) defeated Effingham 2-1.
La Salle-Peru Sectional
Wednesday 4:00 No. 23 La Salle-Peru (29-7) vs. Geneseo (20-16)
Wednesday 6:30 Galesburg (27-10) vs. Ottawa (26-11).
Metamora Regional Final
La Salle-Peru (29-7) beat Streator 3-0 behind a three-hit shutout from Cavalier ace David Lynch (8-1).
East Moline Regional Final
Geneseo (20-16) defeated Rock island 9-6.
Galesburg Regional Final
Galesburg (27-10) defeated Dunlap 7-1 behind Silver Streak ace RHP Tim Rossell. Rossell (10-0) fired a five hitter with 10 strikeouts at Dunlap. Illinois State-bound C Chad Johnson and junior Drake Sykes had two-run doubles in the Streaks six-run second inning.
Yorkville Regional Final
Ottawa (25-11) defeated Yorkville 2-1 to win its first regional title since 1999. Pirate ace junior Jonah Moore (10-1) fired a four-hitter at the Foxes. The Pirates picked up RBI from juniors Mike Hermosillo, who doubled twice and Kyle Walbaum, who drove home the game-winner for the Pirates.

Wednesday 4:30 Nazareth (27-8) vs. Glenbard South (27-10)

Nazareth Regional Final
Nazareth (27-8) blasted Little Village 10-1 behind sophomore Jake Bartels (6-2).
Lake View Regional Final
Glenbard South (27-10) beat Montini 2-0 behind a four-hit shutout from Raider Roger Dydra.
Guerin Prep (Triton College) Regional Final
Clemente (22-9) blanked Riverside-Brookfield 4-0.
St. Joseph Regional Final
St. Joseph (24-13) beat Fenton 4-0 behind a no-hitter from Charger senior RHP Steven Scatassa (8-4). Scatassa fanned 11 Bison hitters as the Chargers win their first regional in school history. Scatassa helped himself with two hits and two RBI. 6-foot-3, 225 pound junior Ryan Moritz, chipped in with two hits and two RBI as well.
Grayslake Central Sectional
Wednesday 4:00 Grayslake Central (28-8) vs. Lakes (21-16)
Thursday 4:00 Vernon Hills (28-8) vs. St. Viator-Deerfield winner
Antioch Regional Final
Lakes (21-16) beat Antioch 3-2.
Notre Dame Regional Final
Grayslake Central (28-8) defeated Notre Dame 4-1.
Vernon Hills Regional Final
Vernon Hills (28-8) defeated Grayslake North 2-1 behind Cougar junior LHP Tyler Feece (11-3).

Chicago Washington Sectional
Wednesday 4:15 No. 25 Simeon (29-7) vs. Jones (18-13)
Thursday 4:15 Harlan (24-9) vs. Kenwood (15-15)
Simeon Regional Final
No. 25 Simeon (29-7) beat Chicago U-High 4-0. Oakland University-bound Shane Brown and sophomore Darius Day combined for a no-hitter. Brown helped himself with a sac-fly and junior 2B Ro Coleman had two hits and two RBI to lead the Wolverine attack. University of Iowa-bound C Blake Hickman chipped in with an RBI single.
Jones Regional Final
Jones (18-13) outslugged Washington 11-6.
Kenwood Regional Final
Kenwood (15-15) defeated Payton 6-3 behind junior Stanford Hunt. Hunt went the distance with seven strikeouts for the Broncos.
Harlan Regional Final
Harlan (24-9) won a 14-9 slugfest with Juarez on Saturday.
Lincoln-Way West Sectional
Wednesday 4:30: Oak Forest (28-6) vs. Lincoln-Way West (23-13)
Wednesday 7:00: No. 1 JCA (30-7-1) vs. Marian Catholic (22-17)
Oak Forest Regional Final
Oak Forest (28-6) defeated Rich Central behind University of Louisville-bound LHP Kyle Funkhouser (10-1). Funkhouser fired a shutout at the Olympians with 12 strikeouts.
Crete-Monee Regional Final
Lincoln-Way West (23-13) scored on an error and a balk to stun Lemont 3-2.
JCA Regional Final
No. 1 Joliet Catholic Academy (30-7-1) hammered Bremen 12-0 behind a three-hitter from Hilltopper senior Nate Searing (5-1). Junior C Alex Voitik, freshman Nick Dalesandro and senior Zach Melone all plated a pair in the five-inning romp past Bremen.
TF North Regional Final
Marian Catholic (22-17) defeated Illiana Christian 4-0.
