Cangelosi High School Fall League Recap - Week 3
Varsity: BLACK vs. SILVER
Game 1:
BLACK – 6
SILVER – 10
The SILVER team’s Jake Norris (Hilliard Bradley) had a strong outing, ending the game with 9 strikeouts in 5 and 2/3 innings. Both Nick Headley (Crooksville) and Alex Orr (Bishop Watterson) had RBI doubles to help notch the win for the SILVER team.
Game 2:
SILVER – 6
BLACK – 8
Jake Norris (Hilliard Bradley) helped the SILVER team take an early lead with an RBI double in the first inning, while Zach Miller (Delaware Hayes) had a big RBI triple in the second inning. Jake Kletrovetz (Big Walnut) ended the game 4-4 with a double.
For the BLACK team, both Tim Miles (Hilliard Bradley) and Luke Barnhart (Grove City) ended the day with 3 hits, each raking in an RBI. Drew Donaldson (Hilliard Bradley) and Patrick Burke (Hilliard Darby) both had 2 hits on the day. Donaldson raked in 2 RBIs, while Burke batted in 3.
Varsity: RED vs. BLUE
Game 1:
BLUE – 6
RED – 14
In a very one-sided affair, Jacob Hollar (Grandview Heights) had 2 hits and 2 RBI’s for the BLUE team. For the RED team Noah Gleason (Mount Vernon) pitched 5 innings, allowing just one hit and striking out six. Eero Perkola (Dakota) blasted a 2-run home run in the first inning for the RED team. Perkola and Brendan Hertel (DeLaSalle) both ended the day 3-4 with 2 RBI’s.
Game 2:
RED – 17
BLUE – 3
