April 26, 2015
By: Zac Bottoms
Arkansas Scouting Director
Angus Denton, verbally committed to Arkansas, Sunday before game three of the Arkansas vs Mississippi State game Sunday in Fayetteville.
Denton is a 5-11, 165-right-hander from Beebe High School. He throws from a sub-marine arm slot and locates his fastball on both sides of the plate 82-85 mph. He compliments his fastball with breaking ball thrown at 71-74 with late break.
He is having a good junior season, leading the Badgers in innings pitched, strike outs and ERA, as they look to be a lock to make the 5A state tournament, being the three seed in the 5A East.
