The 2017 All State Game is Tuesday, May 23rd hosted at Lamar Porter in Little Rock, Arkansas. This game features the top talent from all corners of the state, from the 2017, 2018, and 2019 classes. First pitch is set for a 6:00 PM, both teams will go through batting practice and in and out prior to the game starting at 4:30 PM.
2017 Roster
This roster is a versatile group of athletes with at least one tool that I would grade above average for MLB scouts. It’s a dynamic group that is led by 2017 MIF Casey Martin. Martin is the consensus No.1 player in the 2017 from Arkansas. He is an above average runner with arm strength and solid defense actions. Offensively he stands out with a line drive swing, with fast bat speed, he has an advanced feel for the barrel. 2017 INF/RHP Matt Goodheart and 2017 RHP/INF Paxton Wallace are two other names that have started to gain some buzz among pro-scouts in the region. 2017 OF Evan Hooper and 2017 RHP Austin Kelly are two wild cards in the class, as Hooper has shown advanced tools when healthy, but has battled an ankle injury over the past two season. Kelly has advanced arm strength and a feel for his slider, he has shown erratic command at time, as Kelly has had limited mound time over during his high school career at the ever pitching depth Bryant High School. He continues to show growth as a senior getting experience at Robinson High School.

Underclass Roster
The 2018 Class has had a special hype to it, that rivals the feel of the 2015 class which produced 33 NCAA Division I players and continues to add to the total after players have went through some player development in junior college. Needless to say this roster is not short on talent. 10 of the 19 players that make up this roster are committed to playing baseball in the SEC. Their overall depth on the mound is very impressive with 8 of their 10 pitchers already pledging their college commitments, 7 of those in the SEC. They all are very talented. 2018 RHP Jaden Hill and 2018 RHP Wade Beasley will light up the radar gun, Hill has been up to 93 mph this spring while Beasley has been up to 94. 2018 RHP Connor Noland, 2018 LHP Evan Hiatt, and 2018 LHP Kaleb Hill, have shown to dominate the strike zone with three pitches, with advanced pitchabilty. The 2018’s are joined by four 2019 graduates, highlighted by 2019 RHP/OF Blake Adams and 2019 C Cason Tollett. Adams has been a force for Har-ber pitching as their No.1 on the mound and anchoring the middle of their order. He is a physical player with a bevy of tools. Tollett is an advanced defender, with a large frame and feel to consistently barrel balls up to all fields. Both players are committed to Arkansas. This group has depth 1 through 19 they should compete well against their older counterparts.
