OUTLOOK:
Coach Moore and his Redskins are used to playing in big games and this year looks to be no different. They will be playing against a lot of new opponents this year in their area after losing a strong senior class in 2018 (including RHP/SS Brodie Moore, who signed with Auburn) but the program is in good hands with some solid returning players and a nucleus of talented underclassmen. On the mound, they will lean heavily on RHP’s Daniel McCary and Jake Hodge, as they should provide a formidable 1-2 punch on the mound. Both of these guys will also provide spark on offense while playing the corner infield positions as well. Junior Austin Nix is a “jack of all trades” as he will showcase his skills at SS, C and on the mound and should be a leading run producer at the plate for the Redskins. Luke Hodge (Jake’s younger brother) is a new face to keep in mind as the freshman looks to help on the mound and at the corner infield positions. Two other young arms that should be a factor on the mound for the Redskins are Harris Burns and Brodie McCracken. Freshman Braden Moore has tremendous athleticism with plus speed that will factor into the Redskins plans as well. He is the brother of 2018 Auburn signee Brody and younger son of the head coach.
