Advanced Baseball Academy Scout Day Leaders

On August 29th Prep Baseball Report hosted a scout day workout for Advanced Baseball Academy in Olathe Kansas.  The event featured 63 players from the ABA organization coming from both Kansas and Missouri and had a some players put up eye-popping performances.  Today we take a look at the leaders from across the event in multiple categories and you can click on each name to access that player's personal profile.

The top 60 time from the event belonged to 2023 grad Noah Barber at an impressive 6.79 seconds.  Alec Wombolt came in right behind him at 6.84 seconds from the 2023 class as well as Carter Belton putting up a time of 6.93.  The top runner in the 2024 class belonged to Brock Herr at 7.13 seconds.

Noah Barber added to his impressive day with leading the way at the event in exit velocity at 92 mph.  Ethan Johnson and Gatlin Samuel posted exit velocities of 89 mph both coming from the 2023 class with Keaton Matlick right behind them at 87 mph.  The top exit velocity from the 2022 class belonged to Breydon Walker at 87 with Colby Deaver leading the way in the 2024 class at 86 mph.  

Alec Wombolt backed up his fast 60 time with the top infield arm strength reading from the across the diamond at 83 mph.  Breydon Walker had the top arm in the infield in the 2022 class at 79 mph with Colby Deaver leading the way in the 2024 class at 77 mph.  Noah Barber highlighted his day leading the event in outfield arm strength at 86 mph.  Cody Prater had the top arm in the 2022 class at 82 mph with Noah McCombs and  Kyle Christensen leading the way in the 2024 class at 84 and 82 mph respectively.  2025 grad Seth Lovitt led the class in outfield arm strength at 79 mph.  

The top catcher's arm strength reading from the event belonged to 2022 grad Jack Nelson at 74 mph leading way to pop times ranging from 1.91-2.05.  Karson Reuhling had the top catcher arm in the 2023 class at 71 mph leading to pop times in the 2.08-2.3 range.  Hunter Loethen posted a 69 mph arm in the 2025 class with pop times ranging between 2.15-2.34.

Colby Deaver and Noah McCombs from the 2024 class and Noah Barber in the 2023 class had the firmest fastballs at the scout day at 82 mph.  2023  grad Keaton Matlick posted a fastball of 80 mph from the left side.  The top fastball from the 2025 class belonged to Brenden Lee at 76 mph.
