The 2022 Junior State Games took place October 15-16 at College of Central Florida in Ocala, FL. The event featured players from the 2024 class participating in a pro-style workout and game on day one followed by two more games on day two in front of the PBR Florida Scouting Staff.

TOP BLAST HAND SPEED (MAX)

Hand Speed: The observed maximum speed as measured on the handle of the bat (measured six inches from the knob of the bat). Peak Hand Speed will occur prior to the moment of impact, very close to the commit time in the swing when the wrists unhinge.

TOP BLAST BAT SPEED (MAX)

Bat Speed: Bat Speed is the observed speed of the sweet spot of the bat at impact. The sweet spot of the bat is measured six inches from the tip of the bat.

TOP BLAST ROTATIONAL ACCELERATION (MAX)

Rotational Acceleration: Rotation measures how quickly your bat accelerates into the swing plane. Rotation is a good indicator of how you build bat speed by sequencing properly vs. pulling the bat with your hands. The quicker your rotational acceleration, the more power you will have and the more time you have to make a decision at the plate.

TOP BLAST ON PLANE EFFICIENCY%

On Plane Efficiency: Measures the percentage of your swing where the bat is on the swing plane. Your vertical bat angle at contact establishes the plane for that swing. Plane is a great indicator for making more consistent contact on the barrel of the bat.
