2021 Future Games Spotlight: Ben Leikam

Mike Anderson
Colorado Scouting Director

The 2021 PBR Future Games has come and gone. The event featured the top uncommitted 2023 and 2024 players around the country representing their home state in front of over 350+ college coaches. Team Colorado had high energy and talented squad who showcased their abilities all week. Team Colorado went 3-0 with wins over PBR Select, Oklahoma and Utah. Just as impressive, was our players' individual GPA’s. Their futures are bright as the true definition of student-athletes.

Post event, we plan on highlighting ALL of our Future Team members.

Today, we highlight: Ben Leikam.

2023, Ben Leikam, Valor Christian, (Colorado Yard Dogs) The strong armed left-handed pitcher continues to make strides in his delivery and approach. Uses attacking up tempo approach. Ben has demonstrated 90+ with his fastball with arm side run. A plus slider with some downward plane and very good changeup at 81-82 give Ben complementary offspeed pitches. Arm has short backside arc with extended follow through with momentum to third base side. High ceiling as he adds strength and continues to refine.
