2019 UIL Team Preview - Brenham
February 12, 2019
The Texas high school season kicks off on February 21, the first day for regular season games. Most teams will begin practicing on January 25, getting their rosters set and finalizing their lineups.
Over the next several weeks, leading up to opening day, we will be rolling out team previews of high school teams all across the state and across all classifications, eventually launching our Preseason Power 25.
We have been sending out our annual Preseason Questionnaire to coaches all across the state and as the responses flood in we will bring you a snapshot of what to expect along with top players and keys to success for that particular team. If you don’t see your team’s season preview make sure your head coach fills out his Preseason Questionnaire.

SEASON PREVIEW
BRENHAM – Expectations for the 2019 season are at a high for Coach Williams as he sees the power in his lineup and on the mound.
Senior RHP Evan Schroeder had an undefeated season in 2018, and in combination with junior LHP Evan Aschenbeck, who was 4-1 with a 1.5* and earned Honorable Mention All-District, should make for a solid 1-2 punch. Juniors Jake Olson (SS), Carson Draehn (UTL), Garrison Weiss (INF), and Brendan McCain (1B) will stabilize the lineup, and strong sophomores Ben Bosse (RHP ranked No. 49 PBR TX), Ethan Jesierski (RHP), and Cade Warmke (LHP) will bolster the staff.
