Scouting Report

6/19/2017

I caught a quick glimpse of Shavers while I was walking to another game as he was warming up, and decided to hang around for a few innings to see him play. The 6-foot-2, 175-pound wide-receiver at Grassfield High School featured broad shoulders and defined, proportional strength while long tossing. The arm strength was apparent, and when he ripped off a throw to the plate to nail a guy from centerfield, I was all in. Then, he proceeded to come up to the plate and rope a ball that made a sound that had the fans on other fields turning their heads. I had to run to another field to check on a pitcher, but Shavers will be a player that I will track down to see again very soon.
