14/15U FL Summer Championships: Day 1 Scout Blog

The PBRT 14/15U Florida Summer Championships kicked off Thursday, June 23rd at IMG Academy with action from the 14U and 15U divisions. The event is four days long with champions decided on Sunday. Each day we will highlight standouts with a daily scout blog. Take a look at Day 1's notes.
Day 1 Scout Blog
Julian Batista 3B / Alonso, FL / 2026Batista came in relief and showed upside. Feel for the breaking ball that showed sharp flashes. Arm works well. Fastball up to 79 with more to come.

Connor Bly RHP / 3B / Undecided, FL / 20266-foot-2, 180 pounds. Imposing physicality for a 2026. Moves well for size. Toe tap timing with easy juice. Shows the ability to cover the whole plate. On time and on the barrel.

Shawn Brabant C / Harmony, FL / 2026Large frame. Smooth compact swing, efficient movements. Showed gap to gap power potential with deep double. Able to lift on contact.

Wyatt Clarke RHP / 3B / Buchholz, FL / 2025Physical frame. Level line drive swing at the plate showing quick hands to the baseball. Drove a RBI double down the line on Thursday.

Ryan Crow C / Eustis, FL / 2025Strong big bodied frame. Moves well. Easy juice. On time and finds barrels. Drove a 3B to deep left field on Thursday. Followed it up with a double to left. Power potential.

Joaquin Gardner 3B / Buchholz, FL / 2025Impressive 2025 with the fastball up to 86 with armside run. Clean efficient mechanics and arm action. Quick arm. Slower tempo but ball jumps. Changeup showed late fading action. FB: 82-84 T86 (2250) |
Dalton Hill RHP / OF / Desoto, FL / 2024Projectable arm in the low 80s. Balanced athletic delivery. Clean arm action and shows ability to spin a tight breaking ball.

Caleb Kietzman RHP / 1B / Santa Fe, FL / 2025Large, advanced physical frame standing at 6-foot-2. Fluid, compact actions at the plate. Present offensive tools.

Hunter Myrick RHP / Braden River, FL / 20266-foot-2, 170 pounds. Projectable 2026 arm up to 81 with the FB. Athletic, up tempo delivery. More velo to come. Really promising future once he cleans up the arm action a bit.

Brandon perez 2B / Westminster Christian, FL / 2026Quick hands and a compact swing at the plate. Gets on plane and uses the whole field as he shot the opposite field gap for a 2 RBI double.

Cutter Smith 3B / Community School of Naples, FL / 2026Present strength and size for a 2026. Easy free swinger, lets the hands work. Multiple barrels on the day. Solid offensive toolset.

Christian Vollstedt 1B / Land O Lakes, FL / 2026Lean athletic frame. Mid to upper 70s. Velo will jump as he fills out. Clean arm action with feel for a tight spinning breaking ball. Up-tempo pace and filled the zone.

Maddux Wolff OF / Evangelical Christian, FL / 2026Quiet approach, direct and short to the ball. Level line drive swing as he drove in multiple runs on the day.
