Magnolia State Games Spotlight: RHP Aiden Steht

As we are inching closer to the 2024 Magnolia State Games, our staff has decided to take a look back at some top performers from previous Magnolia State Games who would earn an invite to the Prep Baseball Future Games and then go on to announce their commitment following both of the premier invite-only events.
Today we highlight '25 RHP Aiden Steht, a Memphis recruit who attended the Magnolia State Games in the summer of 2023 and would represent Mississippi at the 2023 Prep Baseball Future Games over in Emerson, GA.

Positional Profile: 3B/RHP
Body: 6-2, 190-pounds. Projectable frame.
Delivery: Lengthy stride that works down the mound well, controlled delivery.
Arm Action: RH. Longer and loose arm action from a higher 3/4 slot.
FB: T87, 82-85 mph. Arm side run and sinking action when worked down in the zone. T2270, 2141 average rpm.
SL: 69-76 mph. Sweeping shape, late break. Tighter spin with swing and miss potential. T2370, 2165 average rpm.
CH: 71-75 mph. Fading action arm side. T2231, 2143 average rpm.
ATH: 7.77 runner in the 60. 1.78 and 4.28 10 and 30 yard splits.

Body: 6-2, 190-pounds. Projectable frame.
Hit: RHH. Tall stance with slightly higher hand set. Easy load with toe-tap stride. Quick hands with a level bat path allows for plenty of line drives. Works well up the middle to pull side. 66.3 mph bat speed with 4 G’s of rotational acceleration.
Power: 85 max exit velocity, averaged 79 mph. 256' max distance.
Arm: RH. INF-87 mph. Short, quick arm action
Defense: Developing footwork with good range on the infield. Solid glove work with a quick transfer for a strong throw to 1st.

Impressive '25 on the mound w/ feel for three pitch mix. One to follow closely.
Body: 6-2, 190-pounds. Lean, frame w/ some present strength and long limbs to build on.
Delivery: Controlled tempo w/ good pace and still head. Simple delivery w/ high leg lift into tall n fall lower half. On-line w/ square toe landing. Good feel to pitch w/ 3 pitches.
Arm Action: RH. Long, loose arm action working up to H 3/4 slot. Good arm speed and easy effort.
FB: T85, 82-85 mph. Clean out the hand w/ good ride and life. Attacks the zone.
CB: 69-71 mph. 11/5 action w/ sharp bite and shape. Feel for the zone and flashes of putaway pitch.
