JUCO Uncommitted Spotlights: State Fair CC

Eliott Wilk
Central Region Operations Director

With NJCAA postseason play well underway, we take a look at a handful of name-to-know uncommitted players from State Fair Community College.

Carter Jenkins

One of the leading hitters on the State Fair squad, sophomore CIF Carter Jenkins was a consistent threat out of the middle of the Roadrunners order. Jenkins showed he can hit for average and power at the plate this spring, posting a .360 average to go along with 13 doubles, 2 triples, 15 home runs and a .670 slugging percentage. Along with leading the Roadrunners in multiple offensive categories, Jenkins also played a strong third base. The 6-foot, 198-pound righty initially stood out at our scout day last fall, posting a 95.8 mph peak exit velocity with a 89.7 mph average and sent his best ball 367 feet. Additionally, Jenkins ran a 6.76 60 and fired a 87 mph bullet across the infield from third, showing reliable hands and fielding actions.
