JUCO Uncommitted Spotlights: Johnson County CC

By: Eliott Wilk

With NJCAA postseason play well underway, we take a look at a handful of name-to-know uncommitted players from Johnson County Community College.

Maddux Fleck

Freshman INF Maddux Fleck has turned in to a reliable everyday starter at shortstop for the nationally ranked Cavaliers. A constant on base threat and table setter at the top order, through 56 games this spring, Fleck is hitting .359 with a .494 on base percentage. Additionally, his speed has played well on the base paths with 23 stolen bases on 24 attempts and a team leading 72 runs scored. A switch hitter, Fleck posses a smooth, compact swing that works level through the zone, spraying line drives to all fields from both sides of the plate. At our scout day last fall, he posted a 65% line drive rate during his BP round. Alongside that, the Creighton transfer also ran a 6.58 60 time, second best at the event.
