With than in mind Prep Baseball California is highlighting some of the top uncommitted class of '26 athletes. The player featured today is one of the top players in the state of California and figures prominently in our Class of 2026 Rankings. All players featured within our Uncommitted Spotlight series are ones that college coaches and fans should be keeping their eyes on over the coming months.

We invite you to get to know them through the eyes of our Prep Baseball California staff of scouts both through our in person looks at players and/or the data-backed numbers collected at our events with our partnered companies. TrackMan, Blast Motion, and Swift Performance provide comparable data to project and evaluate players. All of these systems come together to give a clear picture at what colleges will get when a players steps onto their campus.

Today, we put the spotlight on the number 83 ranked player in the 2026 class in SoCal '26 C/3B Hudson Hall from Elk Grove High School. Hall strikes an athletic frame at 6' 185 lbs. with wiry present strength that projects to fill out as he matures. His athleticism is solid as a catcher who profiles to stick at the position including a 7.24 60 time while showing burst off the line (1.58 10 yard split & 3.95 30 yard split) with a 18.7 MPH max run speed. Hall shows present 79 MPH C arm velocity with 1.9-1.94 second workout pop times with impressive accuracy to the base. His glove work behind the dish with agility blocking and mobility in his lower half profile a toolset that can stick behind the plate with an impact ceiling for what he does at a premium defensive spot.

While his potential to handle a premium defense spot like C is intriguing and will give him strong consideration to be a college level player he flashes a high-ceiling RH hitting profile at the plate. His operation at the plate starts with a open set up while getting bend in his knees to preset his lower half with looseness to his hands. Using a small foot lift into his forward move with a barrel tipping action to load his hands Hall takes an uphill swing path that shows middle to pull side lift in his contact profile. We take a deeper dive into the Blast Motion swing metrics for Hall which are strong with hand speed (21.4 MPH) bat speed (72.3 MPH) and generates some torque from his turn (8.7 G's of Rotational Acceleration), but predominantly relies on his his hands - upper body and bat path to lift the ball. His Trackman batted ball data backs up the quality power potential his profile shows. Hall has consistently produced hard contact with carry to the middle/pull side of the field at multiple Prep Baseball CA events in 2024. With a peak EV at 97.2 MPH with a 82.1 MPH average EV, and has shown a peak max distance of 366' while finding the sweet spot at a 50-60% rate while consistently putting the baseball in the air at a 62-87% line drive/fly ball rate in workouts.

As he prepares for his JR. campaign at a strong Elk Grove High program where he saw consistent varsity level playing time in 2024. Hall will be looking to improve on the flashes of success he showed during his Soph. season and continue to raise his stock which is on an upward trend in the '26 class. B
