5/16/15 - Texas A&M commit. Long lanky left-handed pitcher, 6-foot-4, 175-pounds. Short quick arm action, has some deception. Fastball has arm side run, 81-82 mph, showed control of the zone. Breaking ball has short quick action, 1/7 plane, fastball arm action, deceptive out of his hand, 69-72 mph.

9/1/14 - Verbally committed to Texas A&M.
3/16/14 - Long thin frame, highly projectable body, 6-foot-4, 175-pound left handed pitcher, prototypical pitchers frame. To date the best session we’ve seen from Klein. Delivery has deception, short arm action, hides ball well, closer to over the top slot, works online. Fastball flashed sink, showed the ability to command the baseball, pitched at 82-84 mph. Curveball had depth on 12/6 plane, showed excellent feel, 68-70 mph, swing and miss potential. Changeup has feel, flashed sinking action, showed control of the zone, 70-73 mph. Klein looks to be making a steady uphill progression with a ceiling that has yet to be reached, high follow prospect in the 2015 class.

8/4/13 - Klein had an excellent performance at the Midwest Future Games working a pair of impressive scoreless innings. After a shaky start he settled in nicely keeping hitters off balance with his 68-72 mph curveball. Klein got swing and miss after swing and miss, which was impressive facing a talented Michigan squad. Klein’s fastball held steady at 78-79 mph which the long lanky 6-foot-4, 170-pound lefty projects to have more in the tank down the road. In Klein’s two innings he racked up the strikeouts recording five in his two innings of work. His curveball proved to be his outpitch getting hitters to swing over the top of it time after time.
