5-foot-11,185 pounds, strong, physical frame with sloped shoulders. Strong upper and lower halves. Ran a 4.57 home-to-first. Offensively, King showed an impressive amount of pop during batting practice, barrelling a number of balls to the right-center gap. His feet start even in the box shoulder width apart, and he uses a leg kick to trigger the swing. His hands are loose and work slightly below the shoulders, generating good bat speed through the zone. Clocked at 84 mph off the tee. Gets good hip rotation and accelerates through the ball. In the field, King plays a strong first base. He has a quick first step and solid footwork for the position. His throws from first-to-third were clocked at 79 mph across the diamond, working from a 3/4 slot. At third base, King is still developing but shows promise. He will need to hone the footwork for the position further, but has the skills to make it work. He also showed the athleticism to play in the outfield during game play, furthering his potential versatility at the next level. Off the mound, King has some effort in the delivery with whipp arm action out of a ¾ slot. He ran the fastball up to 83 mph and can throw it with bore in on right handed hitters. He throws two breaking balls, a curveball with tight 12/6 shape (66-68 mph) and a slider that darted low and away (70-72 mph). King also mixes in a changeup that is still developing but flashes potential at 77 mph. Overall, King is a high follow as he possesses real potential as either a pitcher or a position player. Coming off of an injury, his progression as a pitcher this summer is promising, as this may ultimately be where his future is headed.

5-foot-11, 180-pound right-handed pitcher and first baseman. Recovering from an arm injury. On the mound, showed a simple and quick arm path. His direction was appropriate and he tracked the front shoulder well. Fastball was 80 mph as he is recovering from a minor arm setback. Worth seeing when he his healthy. At first base, showed the ability to handle the glove and move around the bag effficiently. Threw 74 mph across the diamond with accuracy. The bat has a tee exit velocity of 84 mph. Starts his left-handed swing with his feet even and leaks to the front foot as the ball approaches. The bat has a minor wrap to it as he initiates the swing. The hands work at the plate, flattening and shortening the swing is a must. Worth seeing on the mound.
