3.16.16:  Lacy is big and athletic and has good batspeed. His power potential was on display as he had three extra base hits in the game. He has a good approach and uses the whole field, pulling two doubles to left and staying inside on a ball to triple to right center. Lacy has gap power to all fields and still has the potential to develop more power as he continues to add strength. Lacy does a good job gaining ground during his transfer and has a quick release, with a 1.95 between-inning pop time.
2.22.15 From the right side hit from an open stance that was tall and athletic.  Smooth load back with slight arm bar. Short stride that stayed on line and balanced.  Lower half exploded to the ball.  Exit Velocity of 87 mph.  Displayed a good approach to the round.  Swing path was short and worked inside out.  Line drive stroke.  From the left side hit from an open stance that was tall and athletic.  Smooth load back with fluid rhythm.  Short stride that slightly dove in. Good approach to the round.  Swing path was short and quick with good extension.  Behind the plate, threw from a high ¾ arm slot.  Arm was quick and loose.  Throws had accuracy and some carry.  Solid setup that was quiet and athletic.  Pop times were 1.94 - 2.08.  Footwork was quick and fluid.  Gained ground towards second.  Had soft hands and good receiving skills.
7/31/14 - 5-foot-10, 160 pound, switch hitting catcher with an athletic frame.  From the left, good athletic set up with rhythm and balance.  Showed the tendency to stop his hands before attacking the baseball which caused him to come around the ball at times but still showed the ability to take a short path to the baseball.  Showed better bat speed from the left side with an exit velocity of 82 mph.  From the right, more of a rhythm hitter that has a slight leg kick.  Had a slight arm bar that forced him to come around the baseball multiple times.  Had the ability to square the ball up form both sides of the plate. Behind the plate, Lacy had a very good set up.  He released the baseball well but did not gain enough ground towards second base to utilize his arm.  Moved his feet very well but moved to a vertical position too quickly.  Made up for the vertical positioning with a quick transfer.  Was an above average receiver during the session.
