Kleinfelter is a 6-1 with a strong athletic frame, he hits from the left side from an upright open stance. Short leg kick stride on line, smooth load back, good rhythm to swing, hips fire completely and maintains good balance during swing. Short level swing path, stays inside ball and gets extension through it. Strong through contact, line drive swing, has power to pull side, showed good approach working gap to gap, exit velocity was 89. On the infield, smooth footwork, gets behind the ball to field, has soft hands and wide base. Quick clean exchange, working through the ball, throws from a low three-quarters arm slot with a loose easy arm action, infield velocity was 84. On the mound throws from a high three-quarters arm slot with a short, loose, quick arm action, generates velocity with easy effort. Shoulders level and closed, lands closed with a slight fall off finish. Fastball was 86-88 with good downward plane and late sink to it. Change-up was 80-82 with heavy fade and was thrown with some armspeed. Curveball was 72-74 with sharp hard 11/5 break and good armspeed.

Shoulders are level, stays on line to a square landing with a slight fall off finish. Fastball had hard run, sitting 84-86. Slowed arm a bit on curveball, which had gradual 11/5 break at 64-67. Slowed arm a bit on fading change-up that was 73.
10.14.15: Kleinfelter has an athletic frame and throws from a high three-quarters arm slot with a tall and fall delivery. He has a short, quick arm action that generates easy velocity. His shoulders are closed an elevated as he takes a short stride to a slightly closed landing before falling off slightly as he finishes. Kleinfelter’s fastball has good downward plane to it and some late run, sitting 81-83. He switched between two-seamers and four-seamers, with his two-seamers having more sink to them. His curveball had late 11/5 break to it and ran 67-68. His slider ran 77-81 and played more like a good cutter with 10/4 break, with the potential to become a plus pitch as the spin tightens. His changeup was thrown with good armspeed and had heavy fading action to it, running 74-78.
