2/22/2015: West stands 5-foot-9 and has an athletic frame with a strong lower half. He has some rhythm to his tall and fall delivery and throws from a low three-quarters arm slot. He has a long, stiff arm action and has a quick armstroke that generates easy velocity. His shoulders are level and he strides out on line before landing square and falling off after release. West commanded his sinking fastball down in the zone, sitting 76-77. He threw a gradual, 2/8 breaking slider with decent armspeed that ran 64-65. He also threw a fading change-up with decent armspeed that he commanded well at the bottom of the zone and ran 71-73.
