2.15.15 Poff has a lanky frame with a strong lower half. He throws from a high three-quarters slot and has a short backside arm action. Poff stays online as he strides out and starts rotating his hips before footstrike. At power position, his shoulders are elevated and on line. He comes to a complete finish and does not fall off. Poff’s fastball was 71-72 mph with some cutting action to it. He throws a slider that has 11/5 action to it that ran 60-62 mph and a sinking change-up that ran 65-67 mph. Offensively, hit from a balanced/athletic stance that was tall. Brought the hands back, creating a slight arm bar in the load. Took a short stride and stayed on line with balance. Had a good approach with a somewhat stiff rhythm. Short, level bat path with a line drive stroke. Has leverage. Had an Exit Velocity of 80 mph. In the field, threw from a over the top arm slot with a long loose arm action. Played through the ball. Exchanges were both clean and quick. Had fluid footwork. Moved feet well. Showed soft hands. Had a Positional Velocity of 72 mph.
