Lower half exploded to the ball. Showed an explosive bat with an Exit Velocity of 94 mph. Aggressive approach to the round. Swing path was short to the ball and had good extension. Stroke should find the gaps consistently with pull power. In the field, he threw from ¾ arm slot that showed some accuracy. Positional Velocity of 69 mph. Had soft hands and made clean exchanges. Footwork was methodical and on heels.
7/31/14: 6-foot-3, 245 pound, 1B hit from a slightly open, athletic stance. Harju showed the ability to hammer the baseball to all fields and boasted the best exit velocity of the day at 92 mph. He vacillated between a tap step and leg kick in the round and was able to maintain balance with both. He had an outstanding hand path to the baseball and cleared his hips well. In the field, he showed quick feet and soft hands. Harju was able to move very well for his size and had a quick release.
