06.06.17 - Hamm continues to develop physically into his 6-foot, 157-pound, lanky, long-limbed frame, with plenty of room to add strength in the coming years. The rising senior began the day by running a 6.83-second 60-yard dash. The right-handed hitter starts from a closed stance, coils up to load as he triggers his hands down and back. Front side stays on the ball as he slightly dives into the plate. Average bat speed with an inside-out hand-path and lift in barrel on a high finish. At shortstop, Hamm has the makings of solid footwork with good rhythm through the baseball, especially on the routine-to glove side plays. Athletic player on the run with long strides and ability to throw from a ¾ slot. Arm works well from a high-¾ slot on routine plays at 74 mph across the diamond. With his speed and projectable frame, look for Hamm to continue to improve as he adds strength and develop.

12.11.16

6-foot, 143-pound, lanky frame. Started the day posting the second fastest 60-yard dash time at 6.83. Offensively, the right-handed hitter start from a slight crouched stance with his weight on a bent front leg. Rocks back to load his body then lands aggressively at foot-strike with an athletic lower half. Hands are back at launch position and he shows good whip in the barrel with a solid weight transfer and loose finish. Slight lift in hand path allows for back-spin in the middle of the field and an exit velocity of 84 mph. The middle-infielder has a good first step with long strides. Shows solid footwork and glove action with average rhythm through the ball into an accurate, loose throwing motion. Infield velocity was 73 mph.
