10/18/15 - 6-foot-1, 210-pound lefty, uses shorter arm action and works through a high-3/4 slot with minimal effort, occasionally opens hips early, showed a fastball/curveball mix, fastball sat 72-75 mph touching 76, two-seam fastball showed some arm-side run, 58-61 mph curveball showed gradual 1/7 action, worked a perfect first inning, walked two in his second inning but picked a runner off and finished inning with a strikeout looking on the curveball, allowed no hits in his outing, has some potential to pick up additional velocity.

10/11/15 - The 6-foot-1, 210-pound left handed pitcher works through a high- ¾ arm slot with minimal effort. Roof‘s fastball sat 71-74mph with occasional arm side run to it. He also showed a slower curveball with gradual 1/7 action and some depth at 56-57mph. Roof stayed low and away for the most part during his outing, missing barrels well and producing  ground ball outs. Roof gave up two hits in two innings pitched for the white team while showing the ability to throw consistent strikes. AS a position player, posted an 8.00 60 time and had a 68 mph position velocity across the infield. Defensively Roof shows average arm strenth, accuracy on throws, soft hands, and above average footwork around the bag. Offensively Roof has average bat speed from the left side and had a 74 mph exit velocity off the tee. Roof hits from an open setup, has a short stride, uses his lower half, has good balance, showed good patience at the plate, level swing with line drive approach. Roof went 0-for-3 during game play.
