Defensively Armstrong showed average arm strength at 69 mph with short arm action and had a 2.12-2.16 pop time from behind the plate which was big improvement from winter event. 1/17/15 - The 5-foot-9, 165-pound prospect hit with an athletic setup, smooth back load, average bat speed, fair approach, tendency to collapse and swing around the ball at times, line drive type hitter that with a pull approach, exit velocity was 70 mph, ran a 4.65 home to first base time. Position velocity from behind the plate was 66 mph, threw a 2.36 pop time, had a clean exchange , soft hands, fluid footwork, had a good athletic body build, young prospect whose game will continue to develop with physical maturity.
