Defensively Carey shows short arm action, some accuracy on throws, good arm strength, average hands, fluid footwork, and has a quick release. Offensively, Carey has fast bat speed from the right side and had an 89 mph exit velocity off the tee. Carey hits from a balanced setup, has a short stride, aggressive use his lower half, has average balance, an aggressive approach, level path but will drop his hands at times, line drive type hitter with flashes of gap power.  Carey went 2 for 4 during game play with a double and a single. Carey is a good athlete with good raw tools to work with.

Hits from a balanced setup, has a short stride, aggressive approach, tendency to drop his hands, and shows an opposite field approach. Carey went 0-for-5 during game play.
