Graves

The Gibbs Eagles captured the 2021 2A state title, and they asked Braden Graves to do a little of everything for them. He's flashed a FB up to 88, but sits more mid 80s. He's shown great athleticism and juice at the plate, and with their graduating departures he'll need to play a key role in their title defense for the new 3A. 

6/10/15 -The 5 foot 3, 125-pound prospect posted a 7.62 60 time. Defensively Graves had a position velocity of 70 mph across the infield with average arm strength and some accuracy. Had average hands and fluid footwork with a clean exchange. Offensively Graves had a 70 mph exit velocity off of the tee from the right side with a tendency to drag his bat. Hits from a balanced setup with minimal stride. Showed average balance and a long path. Overall strength gains will aid in development of offensive game. Graves went 0-for-4 in game play. As a pitcher, small frame, works through a high-3/4 slot with regular effort, adds and subtracts from fastball to create some deception, fastball varied between 74-79 mph and touched 80 on one occasion, mostly straight, showed a 67 mph curveball with 11/5 action, throws strikes consistently, allowed a lead-off hit and then retired the side in order in his one inning of work.
