At 6-foot-1,180 pound left handed pitcher, strong pitching body, lower half is thick and strong, upper body is durable pitchers frame.  Wright throws  from a ¾ slot, ball comes out of his hand with ease.  Fastball is 81-83 with late life as ball jumps when it gets to the plate, much more in the tank.  The delivery is simple with an easy leg raise, frontside is strong and is in proper position on foot strike.  Front leg is soft after it strikes and needs to firmed up a bit.   Needs to do a better job of locating to the glove side, into right handed hitters, ball tends to stay away and gives them a little longer look.  The curve ball was thrown at 68-71.  The feel for the changeup was good, used same arm speed and sold it with his entire body

8-5-2018: Lefty with arm strength. Fastball sat 87-91 mph with some tail from high three-quarters to near over-hand slot. Curve showed some promise at 74-77 mph. Mixed occasional change-up at 81 mph. A work in progress on the mound, Wright is an interesting sleeper prospect who has left-handed velocity and a feel for his breaking ball. (Seifert)
