3/29/16 Pitched out of a high three-quarter slot and showed some ability to throw downhill. Filled up the strike zone for the majority of his outing with a three-pitch mix that included a fastball at 80-82 that had some comeback when thrown gloveside and got a number of called strike threes, a slurvy breaking ball at 71-73 and a more top-to-bottom curveball at 68-69 that he flipped in for early-count strikes. Struck out eight in five innings while walking four, three of which came in the last six hitters he faced as he fatigued in this regular-season opener.
