4/11/16 6-foot-1, 230-pound uncommitted senior impressed with solid defensive actions (best pop time of 2.09 between innings. Handled upper 80s velocity well and presented a soft wall when blocking a mid-70s 12/6 breaking ball. Quiet approach at plate. Right-handed hitter starts from square stance, very short stride, and stays inside baseball well. Went 2-for-3 and barreled two mid-80s fastballs for hits.

5/21/15 Barreled two balls in three at bats, one a high 80s fastball and the other a curveball that he sat back on and lined up the middle. Displayed solid receiving, blocking, and game calling skills behind the plate. Showed top pop time of 2.11 between innings, but did not have chance to throw in game.

2/15/15 Ambeault received well and showed a soft wall while blocking. He sets high, but exhibited a clean transfer and solid footwork while throwing. At the plate, Ambeault starts from a square, slightly narrow stance and takes a short stride. He rests the bat on his shoulder, raising it to load with a bit of barrel wrap that adds length to his uphill swing path. He has plenty of strength in his frame and might be better able to tap into it more consistently if he widened his base to make transferring his weight easier.
