Lazer is a 5-foot-10, 170-pound SS/2B from Bonner-Prendergast. He was an All-Catholic League, All-City and All-Delco selection as a junior in 2014. Lazer also particpated in the Carpenter Cup as a member of the Catholic League team.

9/28/14 Lazer displayed good extension to his left-handed swing from a square stance with a lift and replace stride. The unsigned senior stays behind the baseball well and showcased the ability to drive the baseball to all fields with a bat exit velocity of 80 mph. Lazer showed capable actions defensively with an accurate 71 mph arm across the diamond.
