6/18/14 Collins is a right handed hitter that starts from an open stance and strides closed. His launch position is tight to his body allowing him to stay short to the baseball but limiting his power. Collins routinely squared the baseball in batting practice and had a number of quality at bats in game play. The 5-foot-10, 150-pound uncommitted senior turned in one of the top 60-yard dash times of the event at 6.74 and showcased good range with soft hands in the infield. Collins was dealing with a slight injury to his throwing arm, but showed more than ample arm strength and a quick release in spite of the ailment.
