Kratz is a 6-foot, 175-pound SS/3B who attends William Allen HS.  He hit .270 with 9 SB while also posting a 3.39 ERA in 31 IP as a sophomore.

10/18/14 Kratz is a 6-foot, 175-pound middle infielder that showcased strong barrel whip and good balance to his swing from a high hands load. The right-handed hitter flashed some pop and the ability to drive the baseball to all fields during a solid round of batting practice with a bat exit velocity of 89 mph. Kratz was equally as impressive defensively, showing a soft glove hand and more than enough arm strength (85 mph) to remain on the left side of the infield at the next level. He displayed an accurate arm, a quick release and the ability to make plays form several arm angles. Kratz completed his day by running a 7.31 60-yard dash.
