4/27/15 Projectable 6-foot-4, 185-pound frame. Sat 81-83 from a 3/4 arm slot with heavy cut action and occasional sink. Curveball shows sweeping 2/8 action with limited downward action at 68-70. Occasional two-seam FB with arm side run allowed Shannon to show something to right-handed hiters moving away from them. Tendency to fall off mid-line, but was consistently around plate and made big pitches when he had to.

4/1/14 Shannon sat 80-82 with a wipe-out curveball that showed two-plane break at 72 mph in the early stages of the contest. Shannon lost some velocity as the game wore on, but showed signs that additional velocity is inevitable with a quick arm and considerable arm-side run. Although Shannon was able to control the running game with varied moves to 1B, he will have to shore up his 1.85-2.05 times to home-plate. The 6-foot-4, 185-pound lefty touched 83 twice in the first two innings and is likely to post some higher readings as the season progresses.
6/19/13 Shannon was solid in all facets of the game, showcasing his potential to be a two-way player at the next level. The 6-foot-4, 180-pound lefty has a projectable frame and fluid actions in everything he does on the field. He ran a 7.29 60-yard dash and displayed soft hands at 1B with throws of 81 mph across the diamond. The left-handed hitter displayed quick hands and incorporated a solid lower half to create a bat exit velocity of 78 mph. Shannon consistently barreled the baseball to the pull side, but will have to work on his ability to use the opposite field. The lefty sat 79-81 out of a 3/4 arm slot with arm side run to his fastball. Shannon also showcased command of a 1/7 breaking curveball at 63 mph and a 66 mph changeup with some arm side run.
