The 6-foot-2, 190-pound prospect displayed the ability to barrel the baseball routinely with a bat exit velocity of 82 mph. He showcased the ability to play through the baseball and accurate throws across the diamond of 73 mph. Scherbarth topped at 80 mph from a high 3/4 arm slot with some arm side run to his fastball at Thiel College. He worked three scoreless innings, striking out two and yielding no hits. Scherbarth also displayed command of a 71 mph changeup thrown at near fastball arm speed and a 60 mph 11/5 breaking curveball.
