Panek, typically two-way player only worked out off the mound. He did run a 7.22 in the 60 before his inning of work. Arm works well, on time from 3/4 arm slot, gets outfront, pounds the zone. Attacked hitters with fastball in low 80's to compliment a sharp, 12/6 curveball with late biting action at 68 mph. Made quick work of hitters, only flashing a low 70's changeup with some tailing action. Repeated delivery and arm action well with little bit of deception, ball was clean out the hand and hitters did not take very good swings off Panek. Believe there is more to come from the uncommitted senior.

6-foot-1, 210-pound physical two-way player. On the mound, works with good tempo and energy, arm is clean from 3/4 arm slot, his fastball topped out at 82 mph with fade when down in the zone. Curveball had 11/5 shape with late action while changeup would show run to the arm side at 70 mph. Threw quality strikes with all three pitches. Offensively, hits from the right side, up and leg kick, hands back in good position to hit,  upright finish with hands on swing, strength in swing as he looks to elevate and drive ball. Behind the dish, pop time best was 2.00 flat, arm strength is there with velocity of 74 mph, can be more direct with body to bag and quicker with transfer, meets the eye test and profiles well behind the plate.
