9.9.17 - Carroll is a left on left two-way player listed at 5-foot-11, 175-pounds with remaining strength gains. At the plate, loose hands with some feel for the barrel, worked the whole field and finished with some lift in swing at times. At times did get long with swing, was best when he was direct and sprayed more line drives to the gaps. Arm worked from outfield and was online and accurate. On the mound, the 2019 lefty pitched with a repeatable delivery and was able to work in the zone with his pitches. Changeup did have some diving action at the end when he was down in the zone. Ability to add strength and fine tune some mechanical adjustments will play a role in taking the next step.
