Big physical right-handed hitting catcher at 6-foot-2, 215-pounds. Still room to fill out and add strength. Offensively, hits from slightly open stance, hands up and back in good position to hit, small leg kick to load, lands back online with stride, swing has natural lift, sprayed ball into gaps during batting practice, drove ball in the air, nothing on the ground. Defensively, fundamentals are there, ability to quicken feet will help with pop time as he was 2.18 with a velocity of 70 mph down to second. Ball was on around bag with slight tail at the end. Strength gains and quickness with lower half will be key for Cruickshank development.
